SPEC-048: Fractal Node Primitive — WHITEPAPER + SPEC pattern at every scale
v1 · draft · Owner: Q
Every coherent unit of work in VOHU MANAH OS is a Node. A Node has exactly two artifacts — WHITEPAPER.md (why) and SPEC.md (what + frontmatter contract) — and is either a leaf (has handler code) or a composite (has a composes: list). Same template at every scale. Same audit law. The fractal pattern IS the OS spine. Domain-specific vocabulary (skill, capability, flow, business whitepaper) layers on top without changing the underlying contract.

Source Brief: docs/FRACTAL_ARCHITECTURE_BRIEF.md
Origin: THUMOS backend systematization conversation, 2026-04-30. The "skill / assembly / flow / capability" language in existing briefs were domain instances of one underlying primitive that hadn't been named. This spec names it.

Changelog
v12026-04-30Q Created from docs/FRACTAL_ARCHITECTURE_BRIEF.md (2026-04-30) — codifies the WHITEPAPER + SPEC + audit-law primitive as the OS-wide fractal spine, complementary to spec_001 (data model). Source brief is the canonical reference; this spec is the Meridian-side anchor.
